Sites Southwest was contracted to design several unique entrance signs for the City of Moriarty. The signs were designed to reflect Moriarty's locale and identity. Steel silhouettes of horses were used to represent the high school mascot of the Pinto, local rodeo culture, and the future horse racing track to me located in the city. The silhouettes will be elevated for better viewing with a tapered rock faced retaining wall that will highlight the city's name and motto. A native xeric plant palette will be utilized to provide low water, sustainable landscape around the sign.
