Visitors traveling to and from Mexico over the Stanton Bridge in El Paso, Texas have a new place to rest and gather. Sites Southwest worked with WhPacific providing urban design and landscape architectural services for the Stanton Bridge improvement project.

Sun Metro BRT

Two hundred and sixteen of El Paso’s bus stops were in serious need of a facelift. Sites Southwest assisted Sun Metro and the civil engineers chosen for the project in updating the facilities, including new landscaping.

Project Vida Administration Facility

Project VIDA’s clinic, wellness center and administration building provide much needed services in an economically depressed area where outdoor spaces are at a premium. Sites Southwest’s challenge was to create some additional outdoor space for the community that also met the clinic needs.

Mariposa Village Center

The first phase of Mariposa encompassed over 35 acres of native landscaped streets and trails. Over 30 acres of additional parks–including a future 24-acre regional recreation facility–were also in phase one. Sites Southwest served as landscape architects and designers for the project.

Las Cruces City Hall

Sites Southwest returned to downtown Las Cruces to serve as Landscape Architects for the new city hall. This project was an extension of Sites previous revitalization and master plan for the city’s Main Street area.

Explora Science Center and Children’s Museum

Explora is a premier attraction within Albuquerque’s Old Town museum district. The Sites Southwest team surrounded this fun place to learn with landscape that was not only fitting but provides a teaching moment or two itself.

Las Cruces Federal Courthouse

Sites Southwest worked closely with the designers of the Las Cruces Courthouse in southern New Mexico. The resulting design respects the locale by utilizing native plant and landscape materials. Respect for the architecture was also maintained by repeating landscape forms and materials similar to the building façade.

Aldea El Paso

Aldea, El Paso is a 250 Master Planned New Urbanist Community in the city’s northwest sector. It’s located near the dramatic backdrop of the Franklin Mountains and beautiful Chihuahuan Desert. Sites Southwest, working with the owners and Moule & Polyzoides Urbanists, developed a plan for the residential and commercial center in a community well attuned to the desert environment.
