Following its success in launching the New Mexico Rail Runner train from Belen to Santa Fe and integrating rural transit systems in the Albuquerque metropolitan area, the Rio Metro Regional Transit District (RTD) is poised to tackle its next round of major initiatives. Sites Southwest’s Long Term Strategic Vision Plan contains bold goals to help Rio Metro plan for its future.
As part of a team of transit, economic development and management professionals, Sites Southwest provided research support, public facilitation and environmental analysis for the planning process. Sites helped organize focus group meetings, a key stakeholder workshop, public meetings and prepared public outreach materials for the meetings.
The final vision plan was prepared by Sites’ planners. The plan prioritizes investments, allocates resources and guides implementation.
