Sites Southwest created a comprehensive plan which provided a blueprint for the City of Santa Fe to pursue improvements to the City’s parks, open space areas, trails, and recreation offerings for the next 10 years. The plan provided a thorough assessment of existing facilities and outlined a series of recommendations, aligned with the Capital Improvement Plan, to implement improvements for the future. The plan integrated existing land use plan and coordinated with the Bicycle Trails Advisory Committee and Santa Fe Metropolitan Planning Organization. Based on the assessment, public and staff input and existing plans, the master plan updated the City’s goals for parks and recreation facilities to help guide future improvements. In addition, the plan proposed facility expansion in both existing and future neighborhoods as Santa Fe continues to grow.
