Central Avenue in Albuquerque west of the Rio Grande needed a boost. The City called on Sites Southwest for a redevelopment plan that would help. The resulting MRA plan contained specific development concepts for three sites and strategies for encouraging private investment in economic development along the corridor.
To develop these concepts, Sites Southwest conducted a SWOT market analysis for each area, recommended economic development and design strategies and provided implementation steps, including a financial analysis and funding plan. This process helped spur commercial development of a Verizon service center and CVS pharmacy. The corridor in the MRA also boasts a revitalized Atrisco Shopping Center.
