12th and Indian School Roundabout

Shelly HomerLeave a Comment

Sites Southwest served as Landscape Architect for the 12th St. Streetscape and Menaul Extension Roundabout and Streetscape project for the City of Albuquerque.

The streetscape aesthetic and landscape concept draws heavily from the long history of diverse cultural settlement of this important area of the Rio Grande Valley. Native inhabitants, Hispano farmers and Victorian era railroad merchants all called this area home at some point. The streetscape intends to be a reflection of that rich heritage. Custom design elements, site furnishings, materials and plant palettes all contribute to a unique and colorful design.
