A stretch of Montwood Drive in El Paso was undergoing major changes. Sites Southwest was called in for landscape and irrigation design support to keep this high profile part of the roadway looking good.
The project’s drainage and utility upgrades required significant modifications to the street profile. That meant cataloging, careful inspection and assessment of existing plants. Many trees were protected and saved by these efforts. New trees, boulders and walls provide landscape buffers for pedestrians on the sidewalk and at all crosswalks. Reuse of existing water meters reduce irrigation costs. Decorative rock and concrete patterns with varied plant bloom times provide a colorful addition to this heavily traveled roadway.
