Radford Park is nestled into a natural hillside just outside the southwest corner of Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. The park offers incredible bi-level views of El Paso and Juarez, Mexico.
A natural level change created by an escarpment provides for an open air amphitheater, overlook and a ground slide. Storm water management and low impact development (LID) techniques such as water harvesting swales and check dams hold rain to sustain native flora for the nesting birds and butterflies. Park amenities include playgrounds, a dual service basketball and hard surface soccer court, sand volleyball, outdoor exercise equipment, benches and covered picnic tables.
Sites Southwest led the multi-disciplinary team that designed Radford Park. The group included Sites, a surveyor, civil designer, electrical engineering and re-platting specialists.
