Central Avenue in Albuquerque west of the Rio Grande needed a boost. The City called on Sites Southwest for a redevelopment plan that would help.
The purpose of this project was to develop standard details for green infrastructure and low impact development strategies that could be incorporated into the Design Process Manual for the City of Albuquerque. The 14 details range from highly urban interventions such as storm water planter boxes and curb extension retrofits to non-urban interventions such as contour swales and Zuni bowls.
The City of Raton and Raton MainStreet contracted with Sites Southwest to prepare a Downtown Master Plan/MRA Plan, including a designation report for the MRA. Sites Southwest conducted a public workshop with downtown stakeholders and personally surveyed downtown businesses to identify assets and confirm improvements the community wanted.
