Route 66 National Scenic Byway traverses New Mexico from east to west serving as a main transportation route in parts and a cruising tourist draw in others. Sites Southwest worked with Bernalillo County staff on a Sector Development Plan for a portion of this historic highway.
Carlsbad Downtown Master Plan
Working closely with the Carlsbad MainStreet organization, Sites Southwest developed a Downtown Master Plan for the City of Carlsbad. The plan takes advantage of newly renovated hospitality and entertainment venues, along with streetscape improvements, to direct visitors to the largely unknown historic downtown core.
Belen Downtown Master/MRA Plan
A large number of vacant and underutilized properties exist in Belen and new business formation has lagged. Sites Southwest’s Downtown Master Plan/MRA Plan seeks to address these ongoing challenges by helping define the community’s vision for the city’s downtown core.
Raton Downtown Master Plan and MRA Plan
The City of Raton and Raton MainStreet contracted with Sites Southwest to prepare a Downtown Master Plan/MRA Plan, including a designation report for the MRA. Sites Southwest conducted a public workshop with downtown stakeholders and personally surveyed downtown businesses to identify assets and confirm improvements the community wanted.
Las Cruces Downtown Revitalization Master Plan and Design
Sites Southwest was lead designer for a number of downtown Las Cruces catalyst projects including reopening Main Street and designing the city’s first plaza, new streetscapes and a roundabout.
