Santa Fe County Affordable Housing Plan

Sites completed an affordable housing plan for Santa Fe County that addresses housing needs in the Santa Fe area. A community and housing profile, existing and future housing needs, an analysis of land use barriers, and recommendations for affordable housing programs are all part of the Santa Fe County plan. Through this project, we identified and expressed in a unique way how various types of needs impact the Santa Fe area, and how each of these needs necessitates nuanced, bold strategies. We worked with staff, developers, and service providers to clearly articulate different types of needs to understand and address core issues surrounding affordable housing. We drafted a comprehensive list of achievable immediate and long-term strategies to encourage the construction and provision of affordable housing opportunities after conducting a thorough investigation of various regulatory housing barriers.
