Farmington Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs (PRCA) Plan

The Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs (PRCA) Master Plan for the City of Farmington is a guide for near-term investments in projects, programs, and policies the department should make to meet its strategic goals. Critically, this plan includes specific Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) recommendations that were shaped through a co-creation process with the City’s DEI Advisory Council. Plan goals and strategies were driven by a robust community engagement plan that included meetings with staff leadership as well as open meetings with each division’s on-the-ground staff, formal community workshops, interactive tabling activities at community events, a project website, and a community survey. The result is a comprehensive plan for the City’s parks, recreational facilities, and cultural spaces, as well as the programs that are offered there, that is reflective of the community’s needs and vision for the future.
