Cecily Anderson

Landscape Designer

Cecily brings a multidisciplinary perspective to her role as a landscape designer at Sites. Her diverse background includes working on renewable energy education in Valencia, Spain, drafting engineering plans at a civil engineering firm in Colorado, and earning a Permaculture Design Certificate at Ekvn-Yefolecv, a Maskoke ecovillage in Alabama. These experiences, coupled with her academic achievements, enable her to approach projects with a systems-thinking lens and a passion for community-engaged design. At Sites, Cecily explores the intersection of ecology, art, healing landscapes, and regenerative design to create meaningful and functional spaces. Her skill set includes graphic design and rendering, systems thinking, and regenerative design. Outside of work, Cecily is a talented musician, songwriter, and visual artist who loves exploring New Mexico’s natural beauty and vibrant art scene. A fun fact about Cecily: when she was six, she wrote and recorded a rock song titled “That Time of the Happy Year,” distributing CDs to her kindergarten class. Recently, she and her friends created a cover of it, turning an old memory into a cherished story.
Cecily earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Design with minors in Sustainability Studies and Spanish from Auburn University in 2021 and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of New Mexico in 2024.
