Farrah Dang, PLA

Senior Landscape Architect / Project Manager

Farrah is a versatile landscape architect with a passion for bridging communication gaps, building relationships, and integrating environmental and community needs into beautiful, functional designs. Her professional background spans technical writing, UX/UI design, communications, and landscape architecture, with a special focus on native botany. Farrah’s diverse skill set includes wetland mapping, biological evaluations, conceptual site planning, and rendering, all of which she leverages to create thoughtful and impactful projects. She is skilled in a range of tools and techniques, from AutoCAD and Rhino 3D modeling to GIS mapping and fabrication with materials like wood and textiles. What Farrah enjoys most about her work is the collaboration with enthusiastic team members and the ongoing learning that landscape architecture requires. Each project presents a unique puzzle to solve, blending creativity with technical expertise—and as Farrah notes, working with plants and cool materials is an added bonus. Outside of work, Farrah dedicates time to habitat restoration efforts, from growing seagrass and planting trees to removing invasive species in parks. She also enjoys crafting furniture, gadgets, and clothing in her home workshop. A fun fact about Farrah: her guilty pleasures include pro wrestling and midnight movies.
Farrah holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Virginia, earned in 2019, and a Master of Professional Writing and Editing from George Mason University, completed in 2011.
