Andrea Walker is the Owner, President & CEO of SITES, where she is guiding the firm's next chapter while honoring its nearly 30-year legacy of creating resilient, sustainable communities throughout the Southwest. With nearly 20 years of leadership experience spanning engineering, mathematics, operations, program management, and organizational leadership, Andrea is passionate about building exceptional teams, fostering meaningful partnerships, and creating an organization that people genuinely enjoy working with.

Andrea's love for the outdoors began in childhood and has shaped both her personal life and professional purpose. A lifelong conservationist, she has always been drawn to the natural world and believes thoughtful planning and design play a vital role in protecting the landscapes and communities that make the Southwest unique. That passion ultimately led her to SITES, where she found the opportunity to combine her leadership experience with work that reflects both her values and her deep appreciation for her home state of New Mexico.

Before joining SITES, Andrea spent 14 years at Sandia National Laboratories, where she led multidisciplinary teams supporting some of the nation's most complex technical and national security missions. She later helped guide a growing technology startup, gaining valuable experience in growing organizations through periods of change. Today, she applies those experiences to building a firm that clients, partners, and employees are proud to work with. She is committed to creating an organization known for strong relationships, seamless project delivery, and a culture where talented people can do their best work.

Andrea believes that when talented people are supported, empowered, and united by a shared purpose, they create extraordinary outcomes for clients and communities. She is passionate about cultivating a workplace where employees are inspired to grow, where clients and partners know they can count on SITES, and where collaboration, innovation, and stewardship remain at the heart of everything the firm does. Outside of work, Andrea enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family, traveling, discovering local food and beverage culture, caring for animals, and seeking new adventures in nature. She has trained search and rescue dogs and has even dabbled in winemaking.

Andrea earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a minor in Psychology from Willamette University and a Master of Science in Pure Mathematics from the University of New Mexico.
