Karina is an early-career community planner whose work is grounded in a thoughtful and collaborative approach. She is dedicated to fostering inclusive engagement and supporting communities in shaping solutions that reflect their unique identities and lived experiences. With a strong background in community outreach, cultural resource planning, and historic preservation, she is passionate about building relationships that honor local knowledge and amplify underrepresented voices. Her work is guided by a deep commitment to asset-based planning and strategic engagement that uplifts people and places alike, fostering equitable and resilient outcomes. She believes in planning that honors the past while co-creating a vibrant, inclusive future—one envisioned by the communities themselves. A fun fact – Karina is an avid reader and she’s currently writing a historical fantasy series set in 19th-century New Mexico.
