Michael brings decades of diverse experience to his role as Bookkeeper at Sites. His professional background includes serving as Operations Manager for the Western Cape Racing Board, where he oversaw 15 branches and managed 400 staff, and owning an accounting software company for nearly three decades, specializing in solutions for industries like financial derivatives, fruit exporting, and clothing manufacturing. His expertise spans bookkeeping to balance sheet, tax consulting, debt collection, and advanced Excel skills. Outside of work, Michael is a passionate amateur astronomer, an avid reader with a love for authors like Dennis Lehane and John Connolly, and an enthusiastic traveler. A fun fact about Michael: in 1970, he and a friend set the record for the greatest distance traveled on Greyhound buses—19,600 miles!
Michael attended Rondebosch Boys High School in Cape Town and pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree at UNISA, completing studies through his third year. He is also an associate member of the Institute of Accounting and Commerce in South Africa.
