Norma Oder, ASLA
Norma brings a myriad of experience in the design of urban plazas, master plans, and community designs. Inspired by landscape urbanism, Norma is particularly interested in unique effective design and implementation within the public realm. Norma has been the Project Designer responsible for the successful management of numerous projects of parks, streetscape designs, campus, master plans, and plazas from Conceptual Design through Construction Administration and is very skilled in producing hand sketches and digital computer work for each of her projects. Norma has worked on a range of projects of multiple scales, both in the United States and internationally. Norma enjoys combining art and nature in her work, to think creatively, use innovative technologies, foster communities, and collaborate with a team to create a space that the client enjoys looking at and matches their aesthetic, functional, and sustainable needs to make each project a unique experience. Norma enjoys being in the outdoors, reading, and recently found much pleasure learning to play the piano. A fun fact about Norma: Norma was a competitive ice-speed skater.
Norma earned a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from the Technical University of Berlin, Germany, in 2009
